Hey guys, just found your site thru a Twitter post (imagine that?).

Anyway, great idea for a blog - as a former old media guy turned new media guy, I look forward to seeing how it develops. And if you come across (or make) any relevant videos along the way gimme a heads up and I'd be happy to feature them on my new blog at www.internetmarketingvids.com.

Mike - thanks for the well-wishes and for checking out the blog.

Co-authoring is working this way: We brainstorm topic ideas (usually via iChat or Twitter). We keep a list of ideas and knock them off separately as we get to them (while still collaborating over phone, chat, etc). We read behind each other and add info to each others' posts.

It's early, so we could change things up, but that's the M.O. for now.

DebInDenver:

Thanks! We'll definitely be interviewing editorial operational folks. I've seen what the Colorado papers have done, including the controversy (which will probably make it into a post at some point here).

We'll definitely get into PR pitching using Twitter, too. I know that has become a much more-used avenue lately.

Alan Smodic:

Thank you! And thanks for spreading the word!

Deb - That's what we plan to do, so stay tuned. Brian Solis definitely knows his stuff, too.

Alan - Thanks for your help. If you have any suggestions, please drop us a line!

Great stuff here guys. Looking forward to seeing what you do with all of it.

I'll be posting about it on my personal journalism blob, as well as my twitter. I don't have a huge following, but whatever to spread the word.

Good luck.

This is great guys! I think it would be awesome if you interviewed editorial operations folks and the challenges they see ahead, or traditional journalists who are first learning to use social media, like twitter. Both the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News are in the process of doing that. The Rocky is further ahead of the game on that and has already dealt with its first controversy. Another issued would be microPR and ptiching to journalists online. Brian Solis has a great piece on this and a list of journalists who pitch via twitter.

Thanks to Connie for passing tweeting announcement of your site!
