It definitely is a lifestyle change, and one that many MSM reporters will have to make.

The sacred barrier between marketing vs. journalism should continue to exist, and reporters are smart enough to figure out what's OK and not OK, but promoting one's one content should absolutely be part of one's routine.

Social Media only takes a little bit of effort if you do it each and every day. Some of us myself included...probably spend more then that on it. However, it is definitely a lifestyle shift to start promoting your own content. It hurts a bit at first...because it is more work, but you will love the payoff of getting what you write to that many more people. It's a pretty sweet feeling.
