Great ideas, Craig. I had similar aspirations for our citizen journalists with the Chi-Town Daily News. Too bad we didn't know what Foursquare was way back in in aught nine.

Actually, it might be a fun experiment to have urban scavenger hunts using Foursquare. News orgs and advertisers could have a field day with that.

I have found twitter to be a valuable source of information for the blog I write for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. It is frustrating and overwhelming at times, but once I get over being beat on a story, I can dig in, follow it, and make it my own.

Unless that bathroom has a special deal going on, it doesn't need a location.

And if an employee set it up, it's an easy way for their boss to see how many bathroom breaks they're taking!

Here's another one for you: Don't create bogus venues. At the Whole Foods flagship store in Austin, someone went through and added listings for "Men's Room at Whole Foods."

It clogs up the search results.

I'll definitely mess around with it. Following your Statesman account now, too, just to get a better idea of what you're doing with it.

I'm hoping someone tells *me* a good way to manage all these accounts. I had Buzz linked to the @Statesman Twitter account but have since unhooked it. It does not seem to be a good use of Buzz to have Tweets flow in there (besides, the lag between Twitter and Buzz is horrible). For now, I recommend just buzzing one or two interesting things a day. The good thing about having Buzz hooked to your e-mail is you see when someone comments on your post so you can go in and reply. If Buzz catches on big time, you can devote more resources to it. For now, I just recommend dabbling in it and experimenting a bit.

Buzz for a news org—nice, but I feel like if I tacked that on top of my personal Google account, my brain would basically implode. Any ideas on managing multiple accounts?
